Scoop Video: Government House Matariki Function
Governor-General Sir Jerry Mateparae held a function at Government House to celebrate Matariki, the rising of the Matariki constellation which occurs annually in the middle of the Sourthern Hemisphere winter. The function was attended by Maori language scholars from the wider Wellington region.
The Governor-General has also issued a Matariki message for all New Zealanders.
