Martin Doyle Cartoon : Hot Hobbit
The scene in 'The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies' where Smaug the dragon does low-level 'bombing raids' over Lake-town dispensing bursts of high-pressure flame must surely rank as the best set piece of cinematography in the past decade. If one could for a moment picture Lake-town as our political elite, then the dragon offers an image of what political journalism should be about [in a wholesome sense].
