Oscar Pistorius' original trial had a shock outcome ['homicide'] thanks to a clunky, unpredictable judge. Fortunately, the appeals court overturned her finding and upgraded it to 'Murder'. It seems ludicrous then to ask the original judge to determine the Murder sentence. The 'wet bus ticket' sentence Pistorius has been given is farcical.
