Wellingtonians lined the streets on Tuesday lunchtime to welcome the America's Cup and celebrate Emirates Team New Zealand's victory with cheers and polite applause.
The team and the cup were already in town before morning fog caused delays at Wellington Airport.
The fog cleared in plenty of time for the team and the cup, along with some miscellaneous entertainment and a couple of ticker tape cannons, to slowly make their way down Lambton Quay.
