2018 – Images of a year and a place in time
Wellington photojournalist Kent Blechynden recently had all his camera gear stolen.
It was $20,000 in monetary terms and a crushing blow.
But the camera was also an important part of his life. Kent is unemployed after a 25-year career in newspaper photography and has found there is no place for him in the new media world to make a living.
His life has been tough lately and he needs a break.
He asked Scoop to show his work this year and here it is….
