The House: Business Ahead
MPs will kick off the final week of this session with the third reading of the Appropriation (1999/2000 Estimates) Bill and then go into extended hours for the Sale of Liquor Amendment Bill (No. 2). For details see earlier coverage.
The estimates debate will conclude with what is in fact a confidence vote. A year ago every confidence vote was treated with great interest by the media, but they have now become mundane matters. The Government has in fact increased the numbers who support it on matters of supply and confidence since those heady days following the collapse of the Coalition.
Following the completion of the liquor amendment the House will consider the report on New Zealand Security Intelligence Service Amendment Bill (No. 2) and the committee stages of the. Animal Welfare Bill (No. 2).
