Olympic Closing Party – Murder-Suicide
- OLYMPIC CLOSING PARTY: Sydney waved goodbye to the Olympics in a blaze of green and gold glory as athletes revelled in the down to earth atmosphere of an Aussie bash. In contrast to the opening, the emphasis was on laid back, no frill larrakinism.
- MURDER-SUICIDE: Three young Nelson sisters were found dead in their beds and the body of their mother was found in another room of their suburban Stoke home after an apparent murder-suicide.
