DIGITAL TV: Pay TV operator Telstra Saturn has put on hold plans to launch a combined digital TV service with TVNZ. The decision comes as Telstra Australia tightens its belt. TVNZ was surprised at the decision. Questions were asked in Parliament about the cost today.

PARAGLIDER ACCIDENT: Nicola Collins,
the 12-year-old Christchurch girl who survived a 40-metre
fall from a paraglider, remains in a serious condition in
hospital. Her father says she was never properly secured in
the harness. The family says they want a decent inquiry into
safety procedures of
operators.
