Dunne debunks Green conspiracy theory
United Future leader, Peter Dunne, says the Greens have got it completely wrong in their criticism of United Future over the proposed abolition of the Foreshore and Seabed Act.
"We have done no secret deals with Labour on this or any other issue in return for a Ministerial post.
"United Future is fully focused on the 15 policy points we negotiated in our confidence and supply agreement with the Government.
"We don't indulge in idle speculation about what other parties may or may not do and we don't react in some mindless kneejerk way to every proposition.
"When and if the Maori Party comes up with a proposed Bill to repeal the Foreshore and Seabed Act, we'll consider it calmly and rationally, and make our decision then.
"In the meantime, we'll just get on with the job of delivering our policy package, rather than continuing to fret about what might have been," said Mr Dunne.
