NZ Lottery Grants Board Annual Report
The 2007/2008 Annual Report for the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board, Te Puna Tahua, has just been released.
The report features highlights of the year from each of the Lottery Grants Board distribution committees.
Lottery profits continued to rise during 2007/2008, allowing the Board to make substantial additional grants and establish two new committees.
The Lottery Grants Board made base allocations of $147.5 million to its distribution committees and to the three statutory bodies – Creative New Zealand, Sport and Recreation New Zealand, and the New Zealand Film Commission. A further $24.1 million was allocated to the statutory bodies and distribution committees experiencing high demand.
The focus on people and communities in the Annual Report reflects the Board’s aim to achieve the greatest possible community benefit and minimise disparity between communities.
