GE Animal Court Papers Filed

GE Free NZ (in food and environment) has filed papers in the High Court against ERMA's decision approving development of GE cows, sheep and goats.
 
The 20-year approval for AgResearch's application (200223) was given just weeks before the ERMA report on four similar applications warned that risk assessment is impossible because of inadequate information.
 
ERMA has announced the postponement of hearings on the four applications at the request of AgResearch. No new date for the hearings has been set.
