Justice Wilson on judicial inquiry
STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF HON. JUSTICE WILSON
Wilson v Attorney-General & Ors
CIV 2010-485-1147
The Judge is very pleased that his judicial review proceedings have achieved their principal objective of quashing both the recommendation of the Judicial Conduct Commissioner that a Panel be convened and the decision of the Acting Attorney-General to accept that recommendation.
The Judge believed that both the Commissioner’s recommendation and the Acting Attorney-General’s decision to accept it were seriously flawed in law. The High Court has now confirmed this.
The Judge will be making no further comment at this time.
