Bishop responds to Labour' Hutt Valley Housing
Initiative
Labour is pledging to build a mix of 400 state houses and affordable KiwiBuild homes in the Hutt Valley in its first term in government to tackle the housing crisis there, says Leader of the Opposition Andrew Little.
Anglican Bishop of Wellington Justin Duckworth states on the announcement:
“It’s good to finally see our politicians committing to some action to the housing crisis. After the occupation last weekend of vacant Housing New Zealand land, led by St David’s Anglican Church in Naenae, it’s great that the peoples’ protest has been listened to.”
