1. Warri police confirmed to security sources that two
Indian employees working for Delta Steel Company were
abducted on April 16 near Warri, Delta state.

2. Two Turkish nationals working for Merpa, contracted to
the Italian oil major Agip, remain hostages after being
abducted from their vehicle in Port Harcourt, Rivers state,
on April 6.

3. Two Chinese nationals working at a motorcycle assembly
plant in Nnewi, Anambra state, in south-east Nigeria, were
kidnapped on March 18. They remain hostages.

4. Open sources report between two and seven Nigerians are
hostages; some were kidnapped with expatriates while others
were taken in separate incidents.
