REF: MANAMA 454
1. (SBU) In response to reftel, Embassy Baghdad considers
the Gulf Iraqi Expo to be a serious Ministry of Trade effort,
run by the State Company for Iraqi Fairs. The U.S. Foreign
Commercial Service in Iraq's website includes a link to the
Expo, which was postponed from March 2007 to November 2007 in
order to better prepare for the event. The Ministry of Trade
is committed to holding a successful event, and Embassy
Baghdad is planning on assisting as appropriate.
