separately welcomed the Government of Madagascar (GOM) into the
Global Initiative as a new partner nation and provided them with the
most current version of the Plan of Work, Terms of Reference,
Statement of Principles, Explanatory Notes, and Plan of Work
Calendar for the Global Initiative. PolEcon Chief also passed along
Points of Contact at the Department. The GOM is unlikely to attend
the Astana meetings without outside funding.
