(SBU) Acting DCM delivered reftel demarche on May 29 to
Abdullah al-Riyami, Deputy Director of the Department of
International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
(MFA). Acting DCM thanked Riyami for Oman's support of the
Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI), urged the Omani
government to fully participate in future PSI-related
activities, and asked that Oman encourage other nations to
join the PSI partnership. Riyami replied that Oman remained
committed to PSI principles and hoped that more countries
would participate in the initiative.
