Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Sri Lankan Ministry of
Foreign Affairs Deputy Director for UN and Multilateral
Affairs Satya Rodrigo on October 23. Rodrigo said Sri Lanka
has not yet decided whom it will endorse for the IAAC
election. Rodrigo noted that the U.S. was instrumental in
establishing the IAAC and said the U.S. candidate would be
favorably considered. He undertook to inform Poloff once a
decision has been made.
