1. Emboff demarched the Director General of the Bolivian
Ministry of Production and Microenterpise Dr. Luis Valda on
October 12th regarding Bolivia's allotment for the sugar
quota. Valda was already aware of the quota figures and the
procedures for the delivery of the Certificates for Quota
Eligibility (CQE) were discussed. The sugar producers have
agreed on the division of the quota and have communicated by
fax the breakdown with both the US Embassy and Valda. Emboff
awaits further communication with the Ministry to delivery
the CQEs.
