1. On October 9, Econoff delivered Ref A demarche to Tom
Teehan, Chief Inspector in the Irish Department of
Agriculture, who said that he would inform other interested
parties in the government of our position on this issue. He
said that he was not in a position to discuss the outcome of
the vote but agreed to maintain an open dialogue with the
Embassy on these issues in the future.
