(SBU) Humaid al-Ma'ani, Office Director for Ministry of
Foreign Affairs Secretary General Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi,
informed Pol-Econ Chief on October 10 that October 31 is
acceptable for the next round of the U.S.-Oman Gulf Security
Dialogue to be held in Muscat. Sayyid Badr has requested
that Washington provide a proposed agenda and list of topics
of discussion as soon as possible to allow him and other
officials adequate time for preparation. (Note: The Omani
government will be closed for Eid al-Fitr and the normal
local weekend from October 11-19. End Note.)
