1) Per reftel, post delivered demarche to Chantal Elsenhout,
Deputy Head of the International Organizations of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Suriname
(GOS) on October 24, 2007. While Elsenhout had no immediate
official response, she did confirm that the Government of
Suriname generally supports western hemisphere representation
in international bodies when possible.

2) Post will report any more substantive reaction from the
GOS.
