Machitidze, Acting Head of the Division of Americas, Ministry
of Foreign Affairs. Machitidze indicated that the Georgian
government supports U.S. policy for the Black Sea region and
expressed appreciation for USG assistance to Georgia as part
of the U.S. Black Sea policy. He said he would pass the
points on U.S. Black Sea strategy to First Deputy Foreign
Minister Vashakidze.
