1. (SBU) Per reftel, Post informed the Government of Mongolia in an
October 26 demarche of the USG's designation of several Iranian
entities, individuals and banks for their support of terrorism and
on proliferation grounds. Post urged the GOM to take parallel
steps, to prevent the facilitation of Iran's terrorist and
proliferation activities. MFA Americas Desk Deputy Director
Mounkhou was noncommittal, saying merely that the GOM would take the
matter under consideration. Post does not anticipate any further
GOM feedback but will forward any such information immediately.
