7. The Government of Mozambique has received funds from
different donors in various currencies towards the cost
of the Integrated Road Sector Program (PRISE), and
intends to apply part of these funds to payments under
the contract for which this announcement is published.
The National Roads Administration (ANE) now invites
sealed bids from eligible bidders to submit Technical
and Financial Proposals to provide the following
services: Consultancy Services for a Survey of Works for
the Rehabilitation of Weighbridge. At present ANE is
managing thirteen (13) weighbridges of which some are in
use and others are not operational, located in
accordance with the table below:

8. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further
information from and inspect the bidding documents at
the National Roads Administration at the above mentioned
address as of November 13, 2008 during office hours
(8:00 am to 3:00 pm local time). The RFP may be
purchased by interested bidders from November 13, 2008
upon payment of a non refundable fee of 1,500.00 Mt or
the equivalent in convertible currency. The method of
payment will be cash or check drawn in a local bank.

9. A firm will be selected under Quality and Cost Based
Selection (QCBS) and procedures described in the RFP, in
accordance with the policies of the International
Development Association (IDA) detailed in the Guidelines
Q Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank
Borrowers (May 2004 and revised October 1, 2006) which
can be found at the following website:
www.worldbank.org/procedure. The proposals must be
delivered to the above address on or before 3:00 pm
(local time) on December 15, 2008. Late bids will be
rejected.
