Funeral Arrangements for Corporal Stuart Jones
A memorial service will be held in Darwin to coincide with the funeral in Melbourne of Corporal Stuart Jones from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, killed last Wednesday while serving on United Nations peacekeeping duties in East Timor.
The details are as follows:
DARWIN: A memorial service will be held at the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, Robertson Barracks at 10.30am (CST) on Thursday 17 August. Media are requested to enter the Barracks from Tulagi Road into Courage Avenue.
MELBOURNE: The funeral service will be held at the Memorial Chapel of St Mark, HMAS CERBERUS, Western Port, at 11am (AEST) on Thursday 17 August. Access is through the gangway (main entrance) and Military Police will provide directions to the carpark/chapel. The burial service is at Dromana Lawn Cemetery (Mornington Peninsula) which is 26km away.
