Release Of Jenkins Report

The Minister for Defence, John Moore, will tomorrow release an unclassified version of a report into the security investigation of Mr Mervyn Jenkins, a former Defence Intelligence Organisation (DIO) Attaché in Washington.
Mr Jenkins took his life after being interviewed in a joint security investigation conducted by the Department of Defence, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
In light of the circumstances of Mr Jenkin's death, Mr Moore requested an inquiry into the propriety and conduct of the security investigation. The inquiry's findings will be made available, excluding material relevant to national security.
The Minister will conduct a media conference at 12:15pm on Friday, 1st December, in Meeting Room 2R1, Parliament House, Canberra.
