West Papua: ERROR in number of paratroops
It has been brought to my attention that the subject field in previous mail went out as 10,000 Paratrrops dropped in Jayapura. This is an error.
Sources in Jayapura have reconfirmed that the number was of the order of a few hundred. They were dropped into nearby farms and then trucked into the city.
I apologise for this error and misinformation.
