Armed Terrorists Rob Tourist; Rape Mother

In separate incidents, armed thugs robbed a tourist playing golf, and raped a mother of two.

Today's Fiji Times reports that a German couple holidaying in Fiji were robbed of $14,000 by three masked man last week. The robbers were armed with a cane knife. "It was frightening. If we have not given them what they wanted they would have hacked Hermann to death", the wife of the tourist, Herman Heigl, was quoted as saying.

In another incident, four masked men armed with cane knives forced their way in a home in Nadi and raped a mother of two after severely beating her husband. They later robbed the family.

Violent crime has seen a massive rise in Fiji since May 19.
