Pakistanis staged "Kashmir Solidarity" demonstration in
Sydney
Pakistanis and Kashmiris living in Sydney and its suburban areas gathered today at Town Hall, Sydney to stage a peace demonstration in commemoration of the Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The active Pakistani community leaders, workers and media associates including, Syed Atiqul Hassan, President Pakistan Community Services, Dr. Ali Sarfraz a well known community leader, Mr. Malik Anwar, V.P Pakistan Association, Mr. Shabbir Ahmed, Trustee Pakistan Association, Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Butt, President Pakistan Muslim League (Q) Australia, Mr. Arshad Nasim Butt, Chief Editor, fortnightly (Urdu) Overseas, Mr. Tariq Mirza, Editor Fortnightly Overseas and many others attended the demonstration.
The participants raised the banners and slogans in support of the self determination of Kashmir and against the human rights violation in Kashmir.
The people
walked to the Indian Consulate Office Sydney and lodged a
memorandum on the freedom of Kashmir to Consulate General.
