Jerusalem suicide bombing 'senseless'
Foreign Secretary Jack Straw has condemned the suicide bombing on a bus in Jerusalem as 'appalling and senseless'. He said that there could be no justification for such attacks.
Jack Straw said:
"It is truly awful that the world has been so shaken today by two terrible outrages against humanity in the Middle East - in Baghdad and now in Jerusalem. But this terrorism will not and must not succeed."
He said his thoughts and sympathies go out to the families and friends of those killed and injured.
"It is essential that
today's attack does not derail efforts to achieve peace," he
said.
