IDF Activity in the El-Buriej Refugee Camp
IDF forces have operated since last night in the El Buriej refugee camp in central Gaza Strip in order to prevent terrorist attacks carried out against Israeli targets, including planting explosive devices and firing anti-tank missiles.
During the operation, intense exchanges of fire erupted between armed gunmen and IDF forces. In the exchange terrorists fired dozens of anti-tank missiles, as well as light fire and detonated explosive devices and several grenades - all towards IDF forces. The forces identified striking several armed gunmen who were involved in the fighting.
It is important to stress that the terrorist organizations endanger the civilian Palestinian population with the use of buildings and infrastructures in the heart of populated areas for their terrorist activities.
Once
the operation was completed, the forces left the area.
