Tonga Government Approves Two Newspaper Licences
Tongan Government Approves Newspaper Licences For (1) Taimi ‘O Vava’u Ltd And (2) Dateline News
Government has approved and issued two more Newspaper Licences to the Taimi ‘o Vava’u and Dateline News.
Lodged with the Department of Communications early this month, the two Newspaper Publications received their official licences to operate, on the 13th August 2004.
Taimi ‘o Vava’u Ltd, lodged on the 29th July 2004, is privately operated by Founder of the ‘Unuaki ‘o Tonga Royal University/ Institute and Member of Parliament for the Island of Vava’u, Mr. ‘Etuate Lavulavu.
Editors for the Dateline News Publication are Ms. Melemoala Aleamotu’a and Ms. Lu’isa Aleamotu’a.
Pursuant to the Newspaper Act 2003, the two publications will print and publish news in the Kingdom of Tonga for the period ending on the 31st December 2004.
