Three Army Iroquois "Huey" helicopters, plus support personnel and material will be loaded into a giant Antonov jet freighter tomorrow (Saturday 1 Jan) at RAAF Amberley for transport to Indonesia.
The helicopters, from the Army Aviation Training Centre Oakey, are being deployed as part of the Australian Government's response to the natural disaster.
Loading of the helicopters was expected to commence at 3.30pm Queensland time, with the aircraft scheduled to depart for Jakarta early Sunday morning.
