The new editor-in-chief of Fiji¹s Daily Post newspaper,
Mesake Koroi, has rejected any suggestions that his
appointment will make the daily biased in favour of the
ruling SDL government.
Koroi was previously the police spokesman and more recently in the SDL¹s media relations unit.
Koroi says there will not be any bias in the newspaper because as a professional he knows exactly where to draw the line.
He says his political affiliations will be between him and the ballot box.
Koroi says he has been working behind the scenes for sometime to keep the financially ailing paper afloat.
He hopes that with the
help of the new majority shareholder, the Belmont Trading
Company of Australia, he will be able to do this.
