Returning to Demonstrate against the Wall
Returning to Demonstrate against the Wall in Beit Surik.
Tomorrow residents of Beit Surik village will return to the construction site of the wall to protest the theft of their land.
They will be joined by Israeli and international activists.
The march will leave the centre of Beit Surik, north-west of Jerusalem, at 800am.
The mayor of Beit Surik, Mohamed Kondil, was arrested on Monday while negotiating with soldiers at a similar demonstration. He is currently being held at the Ofer detention center.
Today a large gathering of demonstrators and media postponed the constructon of the wall on Beit Sourik land.
During Monday's demonstration, the Israeli border
police threw stones at the demonstrators and undercover
agents arrested people from the crowd (footage available
upon request).
