Activists in a cage in Bil'in
10 activists in a cage on the route of the wall in
Bil'in
Bil'in in Cages, 6am Wednesday June 22nd
As of now, 6am on June 22nd, 10 activists including villagers from Bil'in, joined by international and Israeli activists, have locked themselves into a cage on the planned route of the annexation wall on their village's land.
Thz location of the annexation barrier in the area has been chosen by Israel to enable the expansion of the settlement. It is annexing 2,300 dunams of Bil'in land to Israel, out of the total village land of 4,000 dunams.
The barrier is caging the village in, turning Bil'in, like countless other villages, into a de facto prison. It will, when completed, prevent many families from reaching their land, depriving them of their livelihoods and thus of their lives.
The activists in their cages today will not leave.
Nor will the villagers of Bil'in.
