Crimes Against Humanity IS the issue

Crimes Against Humanity IS the issue

The International Commission of Inquiry on Crimes Against Humanity by the Bush Administration is poised to hold an historic and unprecedented closing session. We need your support and commitment now so that it can have the impact so urgently needed.

The proceedings will powerfully raise the central issue of our day, the issue those in power have declared out of order and out of bounds: Is the Administration of George W. Bush guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity? This act of conscience, defiance and truth can change the way millions see this administration, and help reshape the entire debate about the Bush administration.

Testimony from internationally-known experts and whistle-blowers, including former commander of Abu Ghraib prison Brig. Gen. Janis Karpinski, former British ambassador Craig Murray (speaking for the first time in the U.S., and quoted January 16 by Al Gore), ex-UN arms inspector Scott Ritter, and many others, will be delivered before a distinguished jury of conscience.

The Commision's potential for altering the political landscape is already seen in the fact that witnesses coming to testify are already being booked for interviews on Democracy Now, Air America, National Public Radio, and many other programs and stations.

Yet the Commission cannot have its full impact, and its urgent need cannot be met, without immediate donations totaling many thousands of dollars -- dollars which will only come from people of conscience like yourself.

* Witnesses are being brought to New York from around the country and the world

* Publicity materials need to be printed in massive quantities

* World-class audio-visual technology needs to be put in place to record the session

* An advertising blitz is needed so all those who will welcome the Commission can learn of it

How much would you give to have the full truth be told about this regime? To see it exposed and discredited?

We have a rare opportunity to help make this happen. We urge you to give all you can, and then give more. History, and global humanity, demand nothing less.

Checks should be made out to "Not In Our Name" and mailed to Not In Out Name, 305 West Broadway, #199, New York, NY 10013. Contributions can be made on line at www.nion.us/NSOC/sign.htm. Visit the Commission web site at www.bushcommission.org.
