Australian MP Ellison naïve on nuclear terrorism
Ellison naïve on nuclear terrorism - Brown
The Minster for Justice and Customs, Chris Ellison, is naïve in saying nuclear reactors are no more a potential terrorist target than other energy stations, Greens Leader Bob Brown said today.
"The Prime Minister's nuclear inquiry must take into account the trend of terrorists seeing reactors, enrichment plants and the transport of nuclear materials as highly attractive targets."
"The Minister is naïve if he believes nuclear reactors are no more a terrorism target than windmills or solar panels," Senator Brown said.
"Moreover, Australia taking on nuclear processing directly encourages Indonesia to build reactors. Is Senator Ellison saying he has no worries about reactors and jihadists in Indonesia's future?"
