The World Demands An End To The Bloodshed In Burma
World Future Council Points to Growing Global Outrage at Use of Violence by Burmese Government
The World Future Council has compiled a unique and comprehensive list of global demonstrations against the Burmese military junta in order to highlight the growing outrage worldwide at the violent suppression of peaceful protest.
The World Future Council believes the Burmese government has a duty to fully respect the right of the demonstrators to peacefully express their opinion and the number and size of demonstrations show that the international community will not accept the use of military force by a government against its own people.
The list of demonstrations taking place around the world is available at www.worldfuturecouncil.org
The World Future Council is a new global forum to protect the interests and rights of future generations. Consisting of 50 respected personalities from the worlds of governments, parliaments, business, civil society, science and the arts, the World Future Council works with policy-makers and citizens world-wide to identify and implement the best policies for a sustainable future.
