New Minister For Home And Civil Affairs Sworn In
The new Minister for Home and Civil Affairs Honorable James Tora (MP) was sworn in at the Government House Today.
The Government of Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare welcomed Mr Tora into the government.
Mr replaces former Minister Bernard Giro who resigned last month.
Mr Giro resigned to allow him to concentrate on his business commitments.
Mr Tora who is MP for the Ulawa Ugi constituency in Makira province is a government backbencher since the present government came into power in May last year.
The swearing in ceremony was done in the presence of Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare, ministers' of the cabinet and other top government officials.
