Interim Public Accounts Committee Appointed
Members of the interim Public Accounts Committee( PAC) have now been appointed. They are Manu Korovulavula as Chairman, Adi Laufitu Malani as Deputy Chairperson and Members include Mataiasi Kotobalavu, Kamlesh Arya, Taufa Vakatale and Jainend Kumar.
The Committee members have been appointed by His Excellency the President,Ratu Jose Iloilo on the advice of the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.
The interim Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will independently scrutinize the Auditor General's reports or any other reports it sees fit for reporting.
The Committee will prepare a report of its examination on the accounts of the Government in respect of each financial year and any report of the Auditor General and submit the report to the President of the Republic of The Fiji Islands who will forward it to the Prime Minister for tabling in Cabinet.
The Interim Public Accounts Committee will be in place until the next House of Representatives is elected.
