Advancement Project Launches "The Democracy Diaries"

Today, in an effort capture the stories behind the excitement and energy of voters during this election cycle, Advancement Project through justvote08.org has launched "The Democracy Diaries." "The Democracy Diaries" were created so that voters can express their opinions and share their reasons for voting in 2008. Each chapter in the Diary is a unique voice that represents the millions of unique voices that will be voting this November. Visit www.justvote08.org to add your chapter to "The Democracy Diaries."

About Just Vote '08:

Unjust voting practices stand in sharp contrast to the American ideal of equal access and equal participation in a land where voting is the very expression of democracy. Attaining a truly inclusive democracy requires multiple strategies. In 2008 Advancement Project, a national civil rights organization, is asking for you to join us "in the trenches" through our Voter Protection Program.

Advancement Project's Voter Protection Program engages in monitoring and troubleshooting in several states to ensure that the administration of elections does not intentionally or accidentally deprive eligible Americans of the ability to vote and the right to have that vote accurately counted.

Advancement Project's ultimate goal is the meaningful enfranchisement of all Americans, regardless of color or national origin, through a multiracial movement for justice.
