Remarks with Cyprus Foreign Minister
Remarks with Cyprus Foreign Minister Marcos Kyprianou Before Their Meeting
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Secretary of State
Treaty Room
SECRETARY
CLINTON: Well, I am very happy to welcome the minister
here today. He and I had a chance to meet during the EU-U.S.
summit in Prague. And we obviously have a lot to discuss and
a number of matters of interest, but we’re pleased to have
such an opportunity so early in our Administration.
Welcome.
FOREIGN MINISTER
KYPRIANOU: Thank you very much, and I’d like to – I
feel very privileged to have the opportunity to meet twice
with you within a fortnight, and I would say moving into a
phase of even closer and better cooperation between our
countries.
SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank
you. Thank you, sir. Thank you all very
much.
