ETNZ will face the Russian team Synergy
Emirates Team New Zealand will face the Russian team Synergy in the semi-finals of the Louis Vuitton Trophy.
ETNZ, top team after the round robins, was able to choose its opponent from any of the three other top-four finishers – TEAMORIGIN (UK), Azzurra (Italy) and Synergy.
Origin will race Azzurra in the other semi-final. Winners of the semis (the best of three races) meet in the final and the losers race for third and fourth places.
Wednesday is a maintenance day and the semis start on Thursday.
Pairings to decide the minor places in the Nice regatta are ALL4ONE (France-Germany) v Artemis (Sweden) and Team French Spirit – Pages June v BMW Oracle.
