Australia Gifts Medical Equipment To Kilu’ufi Hospital
Australian High Commissioner, HE Mr Frank Ingruber meet with Dr. Rajiv Gupta, Director, Kilu'ufi Hospital and Mr Walter Baekalia, Malaita Provincial Liaison Officer – Honiara yesterday and handed over a gift of medical equipment for the Kilu’ufi Hospital.
The equipment included stethoscopes, blood pressure monitors, oximeters and nebulisers. The need for this equipment was expressed to the High Commissioner when he visited the Hospital in September last year with Australian Defence Force personnel.
In September 2009, Australian Defence Force medical personnel participated in Exercise Pacific Partnership 2009 and assisted in clinics at Kilu’ufi Hospital.
Dr Gupta thanked Australia for its contribution to the good health of Solomon Islanders.
