Heroic Soldier
“The members and supporters of Fiji Club of New Zealand (FCNZ) are humbled by the heroic action of our fellow Fijian peacekeeping soldier, Private Mateyasa Tukana in displaying courageous leadership by rescuing the villagers of Nayau Island, Lau Group in Fiji at the height of recent devastating cyclone Tomas” Alton Shameem JP, the native Fijian leader and president said today in Takapuna, North Shore City, Auckland the City of Engagement.
“The action of Private Mateyasa Tukana is the reflection of the leadership of the Fiji Military Peacekeeping Organization, the Fiji Government and its officials” Alton Shameem the founder and chairman of Fiji Club of New Zealand said.
” Fiji Club of New Zealand (FCNZ) is assisting in the rebuilding of our motherland Fiji and engaging our New Zealand government with their Fijian counterparts” Alton Shameem said
