Council of Canadians to hold press conference on historic Cochabamba Climate Change Conference
Ottawa – In response to the failure of the Copenhagen climate negotiations to produce meaningful international action on the climate crisis, the Bolivian government is currently hosting a Peoples’ Conference on Climate Change and Rights of Mother Earth.

The Council of Canadians will be participating in official working groups in Cochabamba, as well as hosting panels on tar sands and water justice. Maude Barlow will also be speaking on the plenary panel on food and water under climate change on April 21 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, along with Patrick Mooney, Jose Bove, and others.
