Launch of Amnesty International Report 2010: State of the Worlds’ Human Rights
The Amnesty International Annual Report 2010 launches on Thursday 27 May 2010 at 11:00AM NZ Time.
The Amnesty International Report 2010 provides a comprehensive global overview of the state of human rights. The 400-page Report details the state of human rights in 159 countries. It reflects Amnesty International’s work to combat human rights abuses around the world and sets the agenda for tackling human rights in the year ahead.
The Report will be launched regionally at a press conference in Hong Kong by Catherine Baber, Deputy Director for AI’s Asia-Pacific Programme, who will highlight the main themes and key issues addressed in the report.
Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand (AIANZ) will be highlighting New Zealand and Pacific nations’ entries in the report. Amnesty International Asia-Pacific experts will be available for pre-embargoed interviews.
