TV Reporter Killed During Group Clash In Maluku

JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/Pacific Media Watch): Ridwan Salamun, a news contributor for SUN TV network, was found dead during a clash between group in Tual, Southeast Maluku on Saturday morning.
SUN TV news network president director Arief Suditomo said that Ridwan died on his way to the hospital after being attacked by members of one of the groups he was covering.
“He suffered from hack wounds on his neck and his back,” Arief told kompas.com.
Arief said that Ridwan got trapped between the groups during the clash. He explained that Ridwan was a newly recruited contributor.
